Care Can’t Wait Bus Tour!

Hello,
We hope you are enjoying summer, and are grateful for your continued support as a member or friend of The Arc of Bay County.
We have reserved a 57-passenger motor coach and are raising $ to pay for a trip on TUESDAY, AUGUST 27 to the Detroit stop on the national CARE CAN’T WAIT Rally.
Please help us fill all the seats on the bus, call (989) 893-1346 or reply to this e-mail, and share this information with those you know who rely on direct care workers, those who are direct care workers, and anyone who may be interested. We are also accepting donations to help defray the cost of this effort, our website www.arcbc.com is set to accept online donations!  Read more from the Care Can’t Wait Coalition below. – Annette Jeske, Executive Director of The Arc of Bay County

Caregivers and care recipients are facing unprecedented challenges because our current care system is failing them – and we need your voice to drive change!
With the urgency of the upcoming election, we need to act now. That’s why the Care Can’t Wait Bus Tour is traveling across the country to bring these stories to light and urge our elected officials to invest in care. Your involvement can make a big difference in moving this critical issue forward.
Care affects everyone, regardless of race, geography, or socioeconomic status. On Tuesday, 8/27, at 10:00 am the Care Can’t Wait Bus will be visiting Grand Rapids at Garfield Park to hold rallies and community dialogues to amplify the voices of caregivers and care recipients. Please invite your members, and Direct Care Workers to join us and  RSVP Here!
Families across the country are struggling to afford care, with direct care workers earning only $15 an hour, while family caregivers are spending over $7,000 out of pocket each year. These costs are placing immense financial strain on families and highlighting the urgent need for change.
The bus tour is our chance to make a difference. You can help turn our collective voices into a powerful force for change. Join us at a tour stop near you, share your story, and support the movement for a more equitable care system.
You don’t want to miss out! Together, we can make care a priority for all!
Thank you.
